In order for an individual who has already been granted entry into the UK to switch into this category (Tier 1 Exceptional Talent), he/she must possess, or must have previously held a leave as either a Tier 2 Migrant, or a Tier 5 (Temporary Worker) Migrant sponsored in the Government Authorized Exchange sub-category in an exchange scheme for sponsored researchers.
